  • On-line Parking Permits Planned

Parking and Transportation Services is switching from paper to on-line permit applications, announced David E. Connors, manager of sales and citations. With the help of a pilot program several weeks under way, parking services expects to have the new system in place before current permits expire this month.
"Look for an e-mail announcing when and how to use the on-line application," said Connors. He called the system a "user-friendly customer outlet where people can register and purchase parking permits conveniently, day or night."
In conjunction with iParq's The Permit Store, parking services' permits are processed and sent directly via U.S. mail to employees and students. Encrypted on-line registration and use of University-supplied employee identification numbers are some of the data security measures to be used.
