authors were applauded at the 8th Annual UCSB Women Authors Reception
and Book Signing, organized by the Women's Center. Representing
faculty and staff, the eight who could attend were, from left,

Farmer, history; Sandra A. Thompson, linguistics; Rebecca Zwick,
