Last month’s countywide Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics saw five runners participate from the UCSB Police Department. Shown jogging down Hollister with the torch are, from left, Cpl. Mitch Molitor, Officer Dan Crawford and dispatch operator Yolanda Salcedo. However, behind (and in front) of them was the majority of the department, supporting the effort by covering shifts for colleagues, operating traffic control, doing paperwork, setting up the segment ceremony, and taking photographs, among other tasks.
